Choose X-Our Life
So I seen this and had to pick it up with a huge X on the cover and a dude in a Insted shirt on the back. So I already knew I was in for some straightedge and they don't disappoint. Hailing from Germany and on a German label none the less so a total of 4 tracks, 2 on each side. The A side starts off with "Our Life" with a chorus of " Hardcore Is More Then Music, Not A Current Trend". So starts off really good with a sing along of what they stand for. The second track on the record is "Get Up!" a little longer/slower track really reminds me of the Libido Boyz kinda punk/post rock but for coming out in 1993 thats probably why it sounds like this, not bad at all. So time to flip the record over starting off with "Inside Out" starts off with a guitar intro that seems never ending but then it picks up when the vocals kick in, not bad. Then finally it's on the last track "Why?" Starting off with a heavy riff and tears right into the song, talking about the unity in there seen and dealing with fake people. So for $1 I can't really complain

Eye Gouger/I Resign
Well well well what a sweet find for me, the Eye Gouger/I Resign split wasn't even aware that this split even existed. Until I found it for a dollar and I'm glad I did being a fan of I Resign since I got there split from Paul Praise of Give Praise Records with No Mans Slave I've liked these guys. So for a dollar I couldn't pass this up. So i'll start off with the Eye Gouger side which is labeled side "EYE" 4 fast to the point power violence jams. Nothing really sticks out to me as super good or above normal for that type of music and I noticed that they don't have any other release out and I can see why. So now to the I Resign side of things. The center label reads "I" so starting off I was already excited to hear new I Resign trax that I've never heard and believe me they do not disappoint. 5 amazing tracks from the Oklahoma boys plus a cover of "Kid Dynamite-Cop Out". With that said I suggest you go pick up there split with "No Mans Slave" and there final release "No Prospect, No Amnesty". Which I'm very bummed that I got asked to help put out that 7 inch and then at the last minute got told I couldn't because there were to many labels already on it with all that aside and said even those these guys are done pick up there stuff. NOW!!!

A Global Threat-Pass The Time/Earache
PUNX.... Is what I can say seeing this band on 2 occasions a very long time ago. The first time I seen them was good, good enough I bought there LP but only because Mark Unseen used to be in the band but isn't anymore then they released a record on BYO records that was really good. Before then I had no idea that they had soooooo many 7 inches on underground labels before they signed to BYO. So for a dollar I had to pick this up plus picked up "The Into Red" 7 inch on red wax crazy right red and red hahaha. I was going home to relive my youth as a junior in high school. All in all 6 tracks of what you would expect from A Global Threat nothing really stands out to me but 16 year old me would have loved it 25 year old me just thinks it sounds alright. I don't think nothing can compare to "Where the Sun Never Sets" But if your into all the Boston hyped Punk bands then this release is for you.
Fight For Change-Join The Fight
Well the reason I picked this one out of the bin was because there's 3 seperate hands on the cover with big black X's on them. So I assumed I was in for some good Straight Edge Hardcore and this doesn't disappoint at all. This band hails from Portugal so if there's SXE there it has to be good. Starting off side A is a nice Intro then straight into some bad ass riffs with positive lyrics. A total of 8 tracks 4 on each side. Plus a very impressive 4 page double sided booklet explaining there band/beliefs, full lyrics to every song. On the B side center label is a band ass Broccoli drawing that has the words "Vegan Straight Edge". Also after looking these guys up and the label that put this out. It looks like a very well put together straightedge label from The Netherlands that really puts out only straightedge bands. The label is "Commitment" I suggest you go check them out. I didn't realize I had one of there releases already and it is Birds of A Feather-Chapter 5 release. There still putting stuff out and I suggest you go pick some up because when pay day comes for me i'll be hitting up there store for some stuff. Here is a link to there Big Cartel store so go support this band and try and find there first 7 inch and please go support this label and buy some stuff already.
