Never heard of this band before but finding out more about them, this band is from Helsinki, Finland. Apparently they do not play any shows. This is some down and gritty punk rock reminds me a lot of the Sub/hum/ans or Citizen Fish. A total of 4 tracks. Amazing guitar riffs are in the first song "48 Balls" next up is "You know What You Are" again another gritty punk rock song. Now it's time to flip over to the B-Side the first song on the b-side is "Who Wants it All" a very different start to this side not a very punky song kinda sounds like an 80's song with the low vocals and kinda a keyboard sounding guitar/drum combination. Finally the last song is called "Strength Through Noise" very much like the last song with vocals but very strong guitar and more screaming then singing. This is an amazing release I really hope the band sees this and will send me there first 3 e.p.'s because i would really like to check them out-Bezerker

Dangerloves-Lipsmart b/w So This Is Love
Always wanted to check out this release but like everything at a record store you find something you want to buy more. This is on a local record label called Fashionable Idiot Records. Always love these garage rock albums they will bring you back to a simpler time when A record only had 2 songs one per side and you had the large hole in the middle you need an adapter to play it. So everything about this release is a classic. No digital download or inner sleeve with info, if you like go find out about it. So for the A side you get "Lipsmart" a 2 minute gem of poppy garage goodness. B side is "So This Is Love" another almost 2 minute gem not as poppy as the a side but still very well maybe that's why this is the b-side. All in all an amazing release of an amazing female fronted garage pop band.
Wake/Dephosphorus
2nd Review for Profane Existence Web Zine
6 tracks 3 from each band Wake are a grind band from Calgary Alberta Canada coming of there debut full length "Leeches" with 3 brand new tracks of pulsing grind ready to make you move. Wake start off with a heavy blast beat into some amazingly heavy guitar added to this is the deep yells of the vocals . 3 very well played tracks the only problem is that I wish there was more Wake to go around. Dephosphorus hail from Greece, me personally never heard a grind band from Greece. But from this release you can't really tell where there from all your ears will hear is fast and furious tracks. Each track has a nice little guitar and drum intro finishing up with "The Cosmologist" with a nice spoken intro about time and space. Very solid release, I suggest that everyone check these bands out and buy this release plus there other releases. 7 inch comes with a digital download.

Utter Failure-E.P.
So this is not from the $1 dollar bin this is my very first review for Profane Existence magazine.
Utter-Failure hailing from San Jose, CA not knowing nothing about this band I put this on my record player to listen to it and am I hooked from the start. Being that this got sent to Profane Existence for reviewing I was thinking some heavy D-beat crust, but NO! This is some catchy poppy Pop Punk. A total of 6 songs Spanning 10 minutes the record starts off with "Someday" a very nice guitar intro to amazing semi-positive lyrics and some Wow-Oh Oh Oh's lets me know that this is going to be some textbook Pop Punk. The only thing that I wasn't into is track number 3 "The Night" it's an Instrumental song that would have been completely bad ass with some lyrics over it, but thats just me don't discourage from picking up this record. The label also put out some other releases to come to find out I own and didn't even notice what label it was on. For fans of Dun Bin Had, Banner Pilot with a little Dead To Me thrown in there. Also comes with a free sticker and a download code for the lazy I-pod generation
